Friday. 30.th. April. 1841. N.Y. A disagreeable day. raining at intervals, and cold. Garret, stopped at Mr Anelli’s, to have our pictures sent home. They came at noon, were almost caught in a shower. Mr A too unwell to come around with them, was obliged to go to bed. We locked them up in the front parlour. Miss Wallace, called to bid adieu, They move to Brooklyn. A heavy shower prevented her from going home untill 5 oclock. My head ached from sitting so much, and sewing so steadily. I went to bed early; Garret engaged in the store writing untill late.
