Friday. June. 11. th. 1841. A very warm day. Thunder, lightening, and showers in the afternoon, and evening. Maria, and I did not venture out, sat sewing all the morning. I finished Remsen’s pink lawn, and almost completed Louis pantaloons. Took a short nap on the sofa. Garret shewed [sic] me some pictures in a small book, they were fine imitations of nature.
