Tuesday. 15. teenth. June. 1841. Delightfull cool morning. I am loseing all my good hours, do not arise untill near eight. This will not do. We sat at home sewing and did not go out all day. Isabell, did not come to tea. Maria, and Eugene took tea with us. We had Strawberries, for the first time. They were de. lightfull. The children were all in the Park. Garret, invited me to ride out, or to go Niblo’s. He wished me to see Fanny Esler [sic] dance. I was obliged to decline all on account of others. We all walked in the park, after tea, found it rather to cool.
