The weather still very warm, some slight showers through the day. accompanied with thunder & lightening. When I arose, my cold felt about the same; but improved before night. Mr. Hasbrouck, Major Erving came up in the evening boat. Garret, looks thin, said he had suffered every thing from the heat, and mosche. toes [sic],he was not able to sleep the night previous. Came up without jacket, or draws, two articles of dress he seldom dispenses with.
