Friday. 17. September. 1841.
A pleasant, cool day. It commenced raining at noon. I was very busy arranging my clothes this morning; Henry came in to see us, I could hardly spare time to sit at home with him. We talked over our visit at Sing.Sing. The children all completely lost to.day, shut up in our narrow home, they will give us great trouble for a few days. I find all things in order, a new carpet on our nursery floor, is rather pretty. Garret, has put all things in first rate order. I feel as if I had nothing to do or nothing to exert myself for.
