A mild spring day, with heavy showers. I sat sewing steadily all the morning, expected Mrs Bloodgood. At one went out to walk with Sis. Went to Broadway, met Mrs Costar, Julia Delaney that was looking very handsome. Had a bow from Clem Moore. Purchased, a “toasting iron” and a set of “Mats” for the table. 2.$. Stopped at Millers got a pair of shoes for Remsen. and some laces for Boots. Made my dinner on broiled chicken, eat too much for my comfort. Rain pouring in torrents at four oclock.
