A clear cold, winters day. I kept my bed, untill evening; did not feel sick, but thought it more prudent to keep still. Garret, Maia, and Sis went to Church. Dr Van Vrankin preached his farewell sermon. They pronounced it very good; and quite affecting. I slept in the afternoon. Had a quiet time for reflection, and self-examination a duty which we are too prone to neglect. Eugene, spent the evening with us; I treated him to a pumpkin pie.
