157_Page 155Thursday. 25th November. 1841. Overcast, with rain, hail, and snow. We were all sleepy this morning, but kept our usual hour. Mr Wigton, took breakfast with us. Remsens eye lid swelled, and sore. Louis cold much better, but my stomach will not bear rich food, or eating late at night. I take a glass of wine daily, it does me much good. Mrs Bloodgood, came in, to alter the sleeves of my light dress. Took Louis coat to put new sleeves. The day was dull, and I amused my self sewing and read- ing. Garret, much engaged in the store, I see him only at meals. I think he might find some leisure for me, but he says not.
