Rain, and a thick mist, shrouding all things in gloom.

The atmosphere was peculiarly depressing today, I felt it pervading my system, and giving me a fit of the blues. Garret, came home to tea, so I recovered my spirits. His jaunt was pleasant, and successfull. The children are all delighted to see him, altho they are never so troublesome as in his presence.

Mrs Pell, sent mother a piece of cake, from Abraham, his wedding cake.
