pg 107Tuesday. 17. teenth May.
57 Van Dam Street.
A fine, clear morning.

The painters were busily engaged, and the house in great confusion. The smell of new paint is rather unpleasant, and made my head ache for a few days.
Julie, had a slight attack of chill and fever to
day, but much less severe than the first.
She laid on my bed, untill night, and
then went to her tea.
I felt worried about her, but Garret, thought it
would pass off.
He spent the day arrangeing the third story,
and worked untill midnight
He put a new matting on the hall, and
our old carpets in the bed rooms.
