Extremely warm, at mid.day.
We have fine summer weather, just right for harvest. I do not suffer in the least from heat, as our house is cool, and delightfull. The children look a little pale, but are not sick, or complaining.
Julie, went around to Mr Lorios and had two front teeth pulled to.day. She cried two hours after the operation, and wished them in again. My friend, dropped in this afternoon. The heat prevented me from going to the Battery. I never looked upon a more splendid moonlight night, the air was cool, and not a cloud visible.
Garret invited me to walk, but as I had been out I declined.
