027_Page 25Monday. 15. August. 1842.
A clear sun rise; the first in three weeks.

The children are on the “qui.-” from morning till night, I let them run wild, they resemble antelopes so fleet-footed. All indulge them in rideing, and cutting all sorts of capers.
Julie, rides her horse boy fashion, and Remmy is not afraid to mount the most spirited steed. We all took tea at Ms Cantine’s, and spent a pleasant evening.

027_Page 25The Dr, Miss [Shils], and Julie, spent the day out, and came home late. They came over in the evening; “Sis” shamefully dirty, But quite entertaining; and musical. We left early; as our trunks were to be packed for the next morning, when we intended setting off on our jaunt.
