A warm day, the sun uncomfortably hot; at mid.day

As soon as my domestic duties were finished, I dressed Sis, and myself for a jaunt up town. We called on Miss Burgoyne, saw the younger sisters, Mrs B. sent me word she was engaged. We called on Mrs Schieffelin, but did not see her, she was from home also. I met an old acquaintance rideing out, he did not see me. Our walk home was too warm for comfort, and Julie, got out of humour. Sent my letter to Maria Hasbrouck.
