A superb morning, but misty at the close of
the day.

I remained at home all the morning, sewing on Remsens “delaine”. Maria and C. came in; they caught me in an undress, but I soon repaired the damages.
C. went to bed fatigued, she had been visiting the Mission a large steam ship. Garret came in to dinner after we had finished, but I kept him the last of the pies. Julie, and I walked to fourteenth St. with the girls after dinner.
