No Rain to day, wet muddy streets.

This day was spent sewing, reading, and teaching Julie. I cannot recall any very important event, time passed on and my fingers, as well as brains, are always employed. Bought in charity to day, a cap border. 20. cts. Garret, gave me “thirty one dollars” to pay my debts. Paid Miss W. bill, amount “30$” but I made her take off one dollar, thinking eight dollars too much for Julies bonnet. Mine was outrageously dear, and I think it the last time I shall be fleeced so unmercifully. A barrel of apples came home to day, very fine greenings.
