A mild morning of sun shine, and clouds, streets wet.

The weather is so moderate to.day, we almost forget the “Holidays” are approaching with noiseless steps. I sent an apology to Sarah Haswell; and a tumbler of Currant Jelly to Maria. The wet streets make me domestic to.day; my inclinations lead me to the open air. The afternoon was quite pleasant, but G. approved of my keeping Julie at home. Unpleasant company to day accidentally found their way to see us.
