A change from warm to cold, with cold
piercing air, and dull snow clouds.
C. and I paid three visits, Mrs Pell’s, Bailey’s
and Mrs Rhodes. We thought of rideing down to see
Bell, but C. thought it too cold after dinner. She returned home, I went part of the way for exercise, to settle my dinner of chicken, and ham.
Sent up her basket by Simon, she sent me a note in
return, and a slice of cake. Mr H, bought “Josephus,” to night.
