A very mild day. The snow running in rivers through the streets.
I took Julie up Canal St. for shoes. purchased
her a pair at Millers. 7. shillings.
Rode up to Mothers untill dinner hour, the streets are almost dangerous to ride over, so full of deep holes. I was in chills from the damp atmosphere.
Spent my last shilling.
Retuned home to eat a hearty dinner, not fit for the “gods,” Corn beef and cabbage.
Have not touched a needle to. day!!, feel sleepy this afternoon. Sewed all the evening, while Mr H. read aloud, The bloody wars of the Jews.
