Mild, and rather agreable.
The bright sun calls us up this morning; and something spring like, begins to appear in the atmosphere. Julie talks of her visit to Chelsea, but I put her off untill to.morrow.
A painter has come to repaint our iron railings at the front door; this smells like Spring, or the first of May. I walked out this morning, the air was delightful, felt like a bird let loose, so happy to get in the street; or rather in the open air.
Mrs Grey, paid me a visit; described a robbery committed in their basement; amounting to 50$. worth of silver. The children went out after dinner.
Mr H.’s coat thick came home repaired, also Louis, Brown cloth pants.
