pg 015Tuesday. 31.st October. 1843.
A clear winters day.

I arose after ten oclock, rather better.
Henry, sat two hours. Made curtains for the
basement windows, finished one pair draws for G.
A new double-gown; to.day, not very pretty.
G. does not dine at home, see him
only late in the evening, and then he is too tired
and hungry to look at me. Yet for all this, it is
happy circumstance to have so much to do, as it insures him the means of adding to our pleasures and comforts.
Wednesday. Mr H. has too much energy
to remain idle, he must have active engagement; this month his sleeping hours have been his only holiday.
