pg 023Thursday. 23. November. 1843.
Mild, pleasant day.

I felt unwell this morning, but did not
indulge in lieing [sic] late in bed.
Went to Mrs. B. to order Remsen’s coat.
Mrs Pell, called to see me, looking very pretty.
Mrs Varrick, and Susan from Jersey City, also came over
and sat a few minutes. They both looked handsome,
the mother and daughter.
I amused myself finishing the “mysteries of Paris.”
Ferdinand and Bell, spent the evening
with us, we had an agreable time.
Kitchen chimney swept this morning.
