I walked to Mrs B’s, gave her directions
about my [S__] silk. Walked both ways.
Went out after dinner with G.
Henry sat all the morning, he is anxious to go to the “Musical
fund society. Fanny Kemble reads the “Mid Summer’s night
dream”. I should like to go but fear the crowd.
Julia, cannot go out to walk, but must study her lessons
Miss Stillwell, and Miss Carpenter, called to see Julia, who was
very late in school. Mr H. took Louis & Remsen to be measured
for new suits of clothes.
Fanny Kimble: (27 November 1809 – 15 January 1893) was a notable British actress from a theatre family in the early and mid-19th century. She was a well-known and popular writer, whose published works included plays, poetry, eleven volumes of memoirs, travel writing and works about the theatre.
