Sun shine, and showers.
We arose late this morning. I gave the
servants liberty to go to Church. Julia remained at home with
me. We called on Mrs Smith after church hour, found her
much better, sitting up. Her room very close & confined.
Miss Carpenter & Miss Jane Marshall took tea with Julia, a
Mr [Myiock], called in the evening. They laughed, sang, danced
and told fortunes. We retired at 11. oclock.
G. gave me three dollars, to go and hear Fanny Kemble read.
Maria dined with us. Mr Fullgraff did not come; we
looked for him.
