Sunday. 4th April/1852.

Cold, and blustering. Snow in the evening.
I took the children to church
a full house.
“What went ye out for to see” our text. Not an eloquent,
but a good personal appeal to the audience.
Our motive for going to Church sifted, & explained.
The truth, came home to all.
We returned through Broadway. I was chilly and glad
to get before the fire.
Julia and the boys, went after dinner. Louis left and walked
up to chelsea. Laura & her children have arrived from the
South.
Mr H. went to Mr. Bellows in the evening.
